Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our client in the Calne area who are actively looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.
What you will be doing:
- Designing a range of hydraulic systems, lifting equipment and machinery components using Autodesk Inventor
- Engineering calculations to ensure designs meet performance standards
- Creation of detailed technical information including CAD drawings, specifications and technical files
- Prototype testing and analysis and support during the manufacturing process, working with a number of internal departments
What you will need to succeed:
- Experience within a heavy engineering environment
- Previous hydraulics design experience (or a good understanding of)
- Excellent IT skills including CAD and Autodesk Inventor
- A good eye for detail and the ability to solve problems
- Experience of using or creating technical files
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with a variety of individuals
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
